Continuing Professional Education (CPE) strives to meet our core values, particularly in the area of life long learning. The strategic goal of continuing professional education is to ensure that law librarians receive the education and training needed to meet and leverage the challenges of the changing information environment.

Take the Lead: AALL Leadership Academy

Law librarians in the early stages of their careers can get ahead in the profession by attending the first AALL Leadership Academy, October 3-4, 2008. Train for leadership roles by acquiring both the self-awareness and strategies you need to emerge as a leader within your organization and the profession. Academy participants will use self assessment tools, group exercises, case studies, and skill practice to develop eight key signatures of leadership. Find out more information about the academy now!

The Continuing Professional Education Grants Program (CEGP)

The purpose of the AALL/BNA Continuing Education Grants Program (CEGP) is to encourage program development and promote sharing among AALL entities. This mode of continuing education allows AALL entities to participate in providing quality continuing education opportunities. Continuing Professional Education Media

The Continuing Education Grants Program funded many programs whose speakers have agreed to share a portion of their live programs to a wider AALL audience through audio/video format. In addition, the AALL-SIS Continuing Education Task Force graciously made contributions to this list of programs. These program snippets will be available for a limited time. CPE Moderated Discussions

Continuing Professional Education will host a series of moderated discussions periodically. Topics will be listed on the Calendar of Events page and announced via the AALL member forums.
